We had news today that people are self-deporting in advance of this new law going into effect.  People who are here illegally,  please feel free to self deport. If the pervasive mis-information about this law causes illegals to get the hell out of Arizona, then ‘thank yous’ go to the Arizona Republic, Mayor Phil Whats-his-name and other fear mongers.Those folks have done more for our cause than all the law enforcement over the last 50 years.

Yes, I have been waiting for this kind of action against “border-crossers” since I was about 10 years old. Back then I was in favor of the bracero program which granted foreigners access to jobs in the USA and farmers would get inexpensive labor. It seemed reasonable to me as a 10 year-old.

Then, there was a blow-out when Cesar Chavez led the National Farm Laborers Union (National Agricultural Workers Union (NAWU)) against 18 farms in California, the Imperial Valley. Once Chavez got rid of the bracero program, he strengthened the farm labor union and increased the number of illegal immigrants since documentation went out the window.

I favored any program that would provide some kind of documentation for people who were allowed to cross the border for work. It was obvious to a 10 year old that this should be done and could be done, but the agricultural farm interests were a powerful lobby and they needed labor. The Farm Workers Union needed jobs and they were powerful. Politicians had the power and were trying to figure how they could best profit from the situation.

Now, I am in the bunker because it is dangerous top-side. There are wild people running around the streets of Phoenix declaring to be experts on all sorts of non-sense.  People who have evil intentions are claiming they are the true Americans, rather than allowing me to be a real American.

I am in the bunker because the same powerful interests and the same impotent Washington politicians are leveling their power against the Arizona State politicians who had the courage and intelligence to do something that is absolutely RIGHT! The Arizona law is absolutely correct and proper and Constitutional.
