Obama wishes for civility…but smacks-down foes.

Obama was very Political at the prayer breakfast suggesting, “Progress comes when we open our hearts, when we extend our hands, when we recognize our common humanity.  Progress comes when we look into the eyes of another and see the face of God.  That we might do so – that we will do so all the time, not just some of the time – is my fervent prayer for our nation and the world.” Who is it that says, Bush lied; people died? That is how Liberals see our common humanity and the face of God. Additionally, I would admonish the President that  Progress comes when we work at productive jobs and raise productive families. Progress comes when we buy homes, cars and food with our hard earned wages. Progress comes from American ingenuity and invention.

Obama opines about our common complacency toward those who have nothing; those who suffer slowly day-by-day. Obama paints that dark picture against the backdrop of darker tragedies so he can tell us we do not care. He says, “Sadly, though, that spirit is too often absent when tackling the long-term, but no less profound issues facing our country and the world. [I am more concerned about my Country than I am worried about the rest of the World. Ed.] Too often, that spirit is missing without the spectacular tragedy, the 9/11 or the Katrina, the earthquake or the tsunami, that can shake us out of complacency.  We become numb to the day-to-day crises, the slow-moving tragedies of children without food and men without shelter and families without health care.  We become absorbed with our abstract arguments, our ideological disputes, our contests for power.  And in this Tower of Babel, we lose the sound of God’s voice.” Obama, the merciful, then bitch-slaps us for being self-absorbed, for not being compassionate toward the poor, for failing the weak and abused and poor and crazy and – and just who does this President think he is? You want to meddle in our lives, Prez? No, not really, he just wants to reach grab the hearts of citizens who are easy marks for the con man, politician.

Obama pimping for the weak, to put the strong in their place. It is not enough that we work hard. It is not enough that we live life the best we can. We try to live the American dream and raise our families to be good citizens, but that is not enough for Obama. Obama wants us to give more money to him and the government so that they can help the down-and-out. Citizenship is being redefined to what can you do for your Country and the weak and lazy and indigent. What is his take-away from getting our money - POWER!

Obama has juxtaposed everyday tragedies with the effort of government distributors of wealth to ease those inequalities. This not just opining on poverty, but it is a political slap-down of those voices who reject Obama’s view of Total Government Welfare from the Beneficent State.

Then the “mouthpiece-in-chief” falsely gives the impression that things were better in the good old days, “something is different now; that something is broken; that those of us in Washington are not serving the people as well as we should.” Hey, Prez. soon you will have more of my money than ever before to do your socialist programs, what are you bitching about?

Prez. you don’t want to do good, you want to destroy the social order. You want to kill the “moneyed” class represented by the hard working and replace it with the political moneyed class. “And then we lose sight of the children without food and the men without shelter and the families without health care,” Obama says.

Oh, back to Health Care, back to the Budget Busting Health care Bill that costs trillions of dollars. Back to Health Care for everyone except the old – because the old actually consume the services, but It is broke anyway.

Then, the Obaminator reframes the religious landscape and defines Conservative and Liberal to his benefit with regard to the Immigrant Amnesty debate. ” We see that in many conservative pastors who are helping lead the way to fix our broken immigration system.  It’s not what would be expected from them, and yet they recognize, in those immigrant families, the face of God.” Obama lies and exaggerates to benefit his point of view. Plus, he does not see the Face of God, he sees voters for his party.

He says, “Stretching out of our dogmas, our prescribed roles along the political spectrum, that can help us regain a sense of civility.” But this is not about Liberals stretching. This is about his opponents stretching and changing into the wimps he wants us to be. When Republicans are civil and we frame our disagreements in civil tones, Obama frames it as “showing the fist.” In other words opposition to Obama is not civil even though the tone of the Republicans in Congress is non-confrontational and is respectful.

Then he states it blatantly, “Challenging each other’s ideas can renew our democracy.  But when we challenge each other’s motives, it becomes harder to see what we hold in common. [Mr. President, we hold nothing in common with you - Ed.] We forget that we share at some deep level the same dreams — even when we don’t share the same plans on how to fulfill them.” Mr. Obama Republicans share the same ”plans” toward welfare that the founding fathers had. “Earn it” that is our motto.

Obama says, “Do not challenge my motives.” Motivation is everything in politics. He has an agenda he wants to get passed. His agenda will in the end take money from the middle class and give it to other classes. His agenda will put America in deep, deep debt. We need to parse the motivations to see if this is the right way to meet these goals, if the goals need to be met at all. We know part of Government’s motivation is to scrape a percentage off the top for Government. Power to the Government!

He says, “We may disagree about the best way to reform our health care system, but surely we can agree that no one ought to go broke when they get sick in the richest nation on Earth.” No, we cannot agree. That is going to happen. The other side of that coin is that Obama will break the U.S Monetary System and then where will we all be? We will all be poorer. Except for a few fat cats like George Sorros, Bill Gates and that Buffett fellow – all good Democrats. No, Mr. President we cannot give everything to everybody. It is not reasonable.

Then, he says, “We can take different approaches to ending inequality, but surely we can agree on the need to lift our children out of ignorance; to lift our neighbors from poverty.” Really??? are our children ignorant??? If our children are ignorant, it is the government schools fault.

He says, “We may disagree about gay marriage, but surely we can agree that it is unconscionable to target gays and lesbians for who they are.” Who is targeting them, Mr. President? I don’t get it. Oh, in Uganda! “whether it’s here in the United States or, as Hillary mentioned, more extremely in odious laws that are being proposed most recently in Uganda.” Because it sure as Hell isn’t here.

The rest of the speech is just rhetoric. Democrats taking credit for work done by Republicans.
