Letter to the Editor
Dear ArizonaRepugnant,
I wrote this letter to the Arizona Republic a week ago. It has not been published, yet. I am losing hope for that event to happen. In my letter I used variants of the term “liar.” In a follow-up piece the Republic made sure they QUOTED, Grant Woods letter to the FCC where Mr Woods stated as fact that JD Hayworth was devoting 15 hours (his entire show) to campaigning against the Very-Senior Senator John McCain. That is just not true. If Woods was aware that it was not true then he is a liar. The Republic editors are liars because they know that the Grant Woods claim of 15 hours per week of McCain bashing is so outlandish as to be laughable, if it were not so serious. These are the kinds of mis-statements the Republic is infamous for.
Will you at least give it some exposure?
Signed, A Reader
The following is the letter to the AZR editors:
“J.D. Hayworth is not yet a candidate, but the threat of J.D. running against McCain has you petrified. The thousands of us who were faithful listeners to the J.D. Hayworth radio show on KFYI have now confirmed that the Republic editors lie. You, Sirs, are liars. It is not even opinion, but a lie. That Hayworth spent even 5 hours a week let alone the 15 hours you claim bashing John McCain– unreal, unsubstantiated, untrue. No one would listen to that kind of radio. Actually, J. D. Hayworth is talented and entertaining. The fact that you are tone-deaf, bitter and just plain stupid-in-love-with-John-McCain should be considered by your readers.
If I weren’t an optimistic person, I would think you just hate J.D. Hayworth for no apparent reason. I don’t even want to think about what crazy notions John McCain is going to get in his head this time. What ‘Mavericky’ things will Senator McCain think about this time? Hey, John, how about a campaign finance lawthat is unconstitutional like McCain-Feingold?”
