Obama wishes for civility…but smacks-down foes.

Obama was very Political at the prayer breakfast suggesting, “Progress comes when we open our hearts, when we extend our hands, when we recognize our common humanity.  Progress comes when we look into the eyes of another and see the face of God.  That we might do so - that we will do so all the [...]

A Scott across the bow…

Cleverer people than I came up with the line, “The Scott heard ’round the world…” So I am looking at this as a “Scott across the bow…” to describe Scott Brown’s capturing of the Senate seat previously held by Edward “Ted” Kennedy and Jack Kennedy. The fact that Scott is a Republican makes the feat all [...]

Obama steps in it again - Papa Doc /Wizard of Oz / Obama

Presidente Obama got himself in another fix yesterday by saying, “You don’t blow a bunch of cash on Vegas when you’re trying to save for college.” It is the second time he felt compelled to take a slap at Las Vegas. Understandably Las Vegans found it insulting and counter-productive for their economy.

The real question is this: Why does Obama think it is necessary for him to comment on how citizens live their lives.  It takes a great amount of hubris to set oneself up as the know-all Papa Doc/Wizard of Oz man behind the curtain kind of leader. I think Obama believes this is a Banana Republic with unsophisticated citizens who need the “Mr. Big” Obama to train them and correct them as they live their miserable lives.

Mr. Big/Papa Doc knows all. Because of his belief in himself he can say anything he wants. Indeed, he believes it is necessary for him to put you in your place. He says things that always make hm look good. If he does take some blame, you can be sure it will be followed by an attack on Republicans harsher than his criticism of himself. If he lays the wood to the Republicans you can be sure it is a half-lie or a full-lie.

His technique is intended to disarm and distract the listener. As Obama was in  New Hampshire Tuesday he said: “You can’t walk away from your responsibilities to confront the challenges facing this country because you think it’s good short-term politics.” Obama was pointing his finger at Republicans, but Republicans are worried about the long-term outlook for an Obamaized America. They have no regard for the short-term.

Obama’s policies are the path to American Hell and ruination. Republicans are looking long-term at Healthcare. They see a bleak future for the American people if we shoot a Trillion dollar wad on Medical Welfare. We are already in trouble with Medicare. Obama says he will magically fix Medicare and save money by fixing Medicare and instituting his Healthcare plan.

The only way Obama’s plan can save money is to Nationalize doctors, nurses and assistants and pay them regrettable wages. Look at this as a ten-year plan, with the trillion being less than the amount required for five years let alone ten years. So we are talking Trillions over the first ten years.

Let’s say I am wrong about the doctors getting meager salaries, then that money will come from some other program or it will look like it will be free, but money is not free. We citizens either pay up front or we borrow more money from foreign countries. How can we pay trillions of dollars up-front? Don’t be ridiculous!

Obama does have a plan. It is to deconstruct the united States as we have kown it. The debt we already have encumbered with TARP I and II means that between GW Bush and BH Obama we are in deep trouble. Trillions more will seal our fate.

so, when Obama says , We (Dems) have shown the hand of friendship and the Republicans have shown the “fist.” He is not saying that the Republicans have a fundamental disagreement with Papa Doc/Wizard of Oz. But that is the case, the Republicans believe these unbelievable programs will doom Americans to a Third World life-style. Obama is saying don’t spend your money, because I am going to be coming for your money for my Democrat programs. We are going to have some Serious Taxes in the near future.

Republicans are trying to save us from the Dr. Zhivago World that Obama would have us live in.  Do you remember the scene where Zhivago returns to HIS house only to find that the neighborhood ACORN party apparatchik has given all the rooms except the bedroom to strangers. His house is no longer his house. This is not the future I wish to pass down to my children. Every Obama program brings us closer to the end of that story.

The Republicans are doing the only thing they can do. It is to thwart Obama’s socialism. Republicans are the party of Yes, to America.
